For the most part, you will not know where you are on the path to cessation, only that you are indeed on the path … You may facilitate your understanding of spiritual progress by making a distinction between states of mind … which are always temporary and not indicative of your level of development … and stages of awareness … which are indicators of your spiritual maturation and manifest throughout your life.
