Teaching of the Week #45

Teaching 45: Starting Over

As one who knows [clinging and non-clinging], you have the capability right now, despite all your imperfections, to let loose of clinging in this moment, even if in the very next moment you contract all over again… It doesn’t matter how long you have been lost in clinging, once you become mindful of what you are doing, you simply start over with letting loose because you have the confidence that you can do so.

Chapter 11, Pg 119

For your reflection:
Become someone who knows clinging and non-clinging by asking yourself at least three times an hour, “Am I clinging to something in this moment?” Look carefully because sometimes the clinging is subtle. Then see if you can let loose of the clinging. Beware of falling into judging mind.
